Washington Commanders: Michael Gallup, WR (Cowboys)

The Washington Commanders absolutely need to figure out their quarterback position.

Now that the team has new uniforms and a new identity, fans are going to be expecting some kind of move at the quarterback position and it’s not like Washington hasn’t been trying.

They have tried first-round picks, they’ve tried free agency — they’ve tried it all.

Finding a quarterback is just not as easy as NFL fans think it should be or want it to be. Even without a quarterback, Washington needs to upgrade at the wide receiver position opposite Terry McLaurin.

McLaurin is a star and a building block for the Commanders but he’s going to need help.

Whoever is throwing passes for the Commanders will probably love having the combination of McLaurin and Michael Gallup if they can get it. Not only would the Commanders be taking a stud player from a division rival, but they would be creating favorable matchups for their WR1.

Michael Gallup is coming off of an injury, but when he’s healthy, I think he’s the perfect WR2 type who can take advantage of one-on-one coverage and make plays at every level of the field.
