NFL Offseason 2022: Players who will reset their markets

J.C. Jackson, CB

J.C. Jackson has quickly become one of the top cornerbacks in the league and is turning into the league’s best ballhawk, intercepting 25 passes in just four seasons.

The 2018 undrafted free agent is set to sign one of the riches cornerback deals in NFL history, and with New England not typically being a team to pay up these large contracts, he may find this money on another team.

A team like the Jaguars or Chargers could use Jackson’s services.

Jackson’s market value is about $21 million per year, and I think he can easily get that on the open market.

Jalen Ramsey leads the way in total value and average salary, and with Jackson turning 26 recently, I predict that he can land a 5-year contract at $105 million, which makes him the highest-paid cornerback in the league on a per year and total value basis.

Cornerbacks are becoming an extremely valuable position in the NFL, especially as the league continues its shift to pass-first offenses.

Jackson’s ball-hawking ability is also a rare one.  Not many defensive backs in the NFL can consistently produce interceptions year after year.

Look for a team to break the bank for J.C. Jackson.
