The Steelers could be willing trade partners for any of these three players currently playing with the cap-clearing Packers.

The Steelers enter the 2022 offseason with a lot of question marks as a team. Their franchise quarterback is gone and this roster is in desperate need of retooling. The Packers, meanwhile, are in a tough spot cap-wise and some tough decisions will have to be made on talented players.

These two teams could be willing trade partners with each other. Here are three Packers the Steelers should be targeting this offseason.

Steelers must target Billy Turner

For anyone closely following the Steelers last year, it was no secret that the offensive line was bad last season. This offseason has to be built around rebuilding this once-talented unit. While Billy Turner is far from an elite lineman, he is a consistent and talented one that could start for Pittsburgh at multiple positions, with his salary relatively bloated, he could find himself dealt this offseason.

If traded, the Packers would clear almost $5.5 million in cap space which could be used to retain some of their pending free agents. Meanwhile, the Steelers get a talented right tackle that could also kick inside to guard as well. That flexibility would make him a good fit anywhere on this depleted line.

Compensation likely wouldn’t be through the roof either, as Turner is a name that could be cut if not traded this offseason. A late-round pick or a swap of later-round picks would likely do it. Both teams would benefit here, as the Packers would get something for an asset they may be forced to cut while the Steelers get an instant boost to their offensive line.
