Russell Wilson trade destination No. 5: Tennessee Titans

The Titans already have Ryan Tannehill, an established veteran quarterback who signed a 4-year $110 million contract extension in 2020.

The problem? Tannehill is coming off his worst season as a Titan and left fans feeling lachrymose about how last season ended.

The former No. 8 overall pick finished the 2021 season with 14 interceptions and 47 sacks last season, the most of each since 2013. And his 21 touchdown passes were his fewest as a Tennessee Titan.

It feels like the Titans are so very close to being a Super Bowl contender. On offense, they have one of the most dominant runners in the game in Derrick Henry and talented wide out AJ Brown. But inconsistent quarterback play will continue to hold the team back.

A possible remedy to this situation would be to package together a trade for Russell Wilson. The Titans could ship Tannehill to Seattle to finish out his contract and allow the Seahawks to draft a develop a quarterback of the future.

Wilson would instantly make the Titans into serious Super Bowl contenders and would unquestionably be the best quarterback in the AFC South.

Can you imagine defenses having to contain both Henry and Wilson? May God have mercy on you. The Titans would be wise to explore every available avenue to try and pry Wilson away from the Pacific Northwest.
