Russell Wilson trade destination No. 2: New Orleans Saints

We all saw how bad the quarterback situation was in New Orleans last season. Life after Drew Brees was pretty eye-opening for the Who Dat Nation.

Quarterback Jameis Winston is a free agent and seems like he’ll have plenty of interest from teams outside of New Orleans.

Taysom Hill was frustratingly inconsistent and gave many fans buyers remorse after learning he was given a 4-year/$140 million extension.

The Saints simply cannot afford to waste another season while running back Alvin Kamara is still in his prime. He’s too good of a player to be sitting out of the playoffs.

A trade for Russell Wilson would provide an instant injection of steady, veteran leadership who will be able to make unreal plays.

Playing inside the iconic Superdome seems like a no-brainer for any quarterback and Wilson knows a thing or two about playing in front of a raucous fan base (see: the 12th man in Seattle).

New Orleans will be operating with new head coach Dennis Allen running the show. Can he woo Wilson to the bayou?
