NFL Free Agency – Cincinnati Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah (87) shakes a tackle attempt by Denver Broncos cornerback Bryce Callahan (29) for a first down in the first half of the NFL football game between the Bengals and the Broncos on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at Empower Field in Denver. /

66. Bryce Callahan, CB: Denver Broncos ➡️ Los Angeles Chargers

If the Denver Broncos don’t bring Bryce Callahan back, it makes sense for him to go to a defense where he already knows the scheme and terminology, at least for the most part.

Since the start of his NFL career, Callahan has been with Vic Fangio. Fangio is taking the year off in 2022, so other coaching connections out there for him include the combination of Brandon Stanley and Renaldo Hill with the Chargers as well as Ed Donatell with the Minnesota Vikings.

It would not be surprising in the least to see Callahan bolt the Broncos for a division rival. Ironically, this kind of move could also mean the end for Chris Harris Jr. in Los Angeles.

65. Josey Jewell, LB: Denver Broncos ➡️ Minnesota Vikings

Another coaching connection for a Denver Broncos free agent.

With both Nick Vigil and Anthony Barr slated for free agency, could we see the Minnesota Vikings take a shot on Josey Jewell to come in and run Ed Donatell’s defense?

Because the Vikings could be shopping on a budget in 2022 NFL Free Agency, players like Josey Jewell and Kareem Jackson on short-term deals could make a lot of sense.

Jewell is coming off of a torn pectoral and will likely need to take a prove-it deal in free agency whether it’s with the Broncos or another team.
