54. Derek Barnett, EDGE: Philadelphia Eagles ➡️ Jacksonville Jaguars

Have I mentioned yet that coaching connections matter when it comes to NFL Free Agency?

Coaching connections matter.

New Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson is obviously very familiar with Derek Barnett, whose career trajectory has not quite been what it looked like it could be as of his rookie year with the team.

Barnett had just two sacks this past season but he’s only 25 years old, believe it or not. Here, the Jaguars pair him up with Josh Allen to boost their EDGE rotation and upgrade a pass rush that desperately needs some help.

53. Austin Corbett, OG: Los Angeles Rams ➡️ Minnesota Vikings

Coaching connection?

Coaching connection.

The Minnesota Vikings hired the latest Sean McVay disciple this offseason, bringing in Kevin O’Connell as their new head coach.

It just so happens that one of the top needs for O’Connell on the offense is at the right guard position, where Rams free agent Austin Corbett has turned around his career in recent years.
