6. JC Jackson, CB: New England Patriots ➡️ Pittsburgh Steelers

We could see the Pittsburgh Steelers be a bit more uncharacteristically involved in NFL free agency in the 2022 offseason after the retirement of Ben Roethlisberger.

Adding JC Jackson would be an extremely aggressive move.

The Steelers added Brian Flores to their defensive staff, and Flores crossed paths with Jackson while the two were in New England back in 2018. That may not be a substantial connection, but it’s at least somewhat notable.

Jackson would be a nice pair with Ahkello Witherspoon in the Pittsburgh secondary, and he would have no shortage of passes to make plays on with TJ Watt rushing the passer in front of him.

5. Chandler Jones, EDGE: Arizona Cardinals ➡️ Los Angeles Rams

People reading this will wonder how in the world the Los Angeles Rams could possibly make some of the moves I’m predicting, but really, it wouldn’t be that difficult.

And again I will warn this — don’t underestimate a team like the Rams with absolutely no NFL Draft capital. Free agency is their only way to improve the roster. They’re going to be aggressive.

Getting Matthew Stafford a contract extension could free up a ton of space, and the Rams could restructure some deals to be able to afford some splash moves.

They obviously would love to re-sign Von Miller, but in this scenario, I have Von Miller leaving (spoiler alert).

Chandler Jones would be a huge coup for the Rams, not only signing one of the best free agent pass rushers in the league but adding one of the best pass rushers in the NFL period.
