4 additional Seattle Seahawks stars that could be traded in 2022

3. Seattle Seahawks could trade Jamal Adams
While Jamal Adams has been a fine player since joining the Seahawks roster, the trade and subsequent contract extension has received a fair amount of scrutiny. While Adams is an accomplished run stopper and blitzer, his coverage skills are lacking. The further he gets from the line of scrimmage, the worse he becomes as a player.
Could the Seahawks try to amend this trade by getting something for him as they rebuild? I don’t think it’s impossible. Adams is still a fine player that can function on any team’s defense, but the problem stems from his bloated contract. The Seahawks would absorb a lot of that blow if he were traded, but this would be a deal for the long-term instead of the short-term.
In terms of compensation, I think Adams would cost a day two pick of some sort. It seems unlikely that a team would give up another first-round pick for Adams especially when the safety market has been in a state of decline. The Seahawks are just compiling resources right now, so getting anything for Adams would work. It will be intriguing to see what his market looks like moving forward following the Wilson trade.
