4. Seattle Seahawks could trade DK Metcalf

The only veteran on this list still on a rookie contract, D.K. Metcalf set the league on fire during his rookie and second season. His rare combination of straight-line speed and size made him almost uncoverable. While he wasn’t always been on fire last season, he has still found a way to succeed when on the field. Entering the last year of his rookie contract, Metcalf likely wants one more great season before entering free agency.

He isn’t likely to get that with the Seahawks now, as Drew Lock or whoever is throwing the ball will not be as good as Wilson was. This may be less the Seahawks wanting to trade Metcalf and more the player wanting out of a rebuild to maximize his value. There are plenty of suitors that would want the dynamic deep threat if he became available.

Metcalf would be on the more expensive side of a trade though. While only having one season left on his current deal is a negative, any team trading for him would likely look to lock him up right away. A good day-two pick would likely get the deal done plus some other swapping of mid-round picks. Don’t be surprised to hear about Metcalf trying to get moved as the offseason continues.

The Seahawks appear to be in a full-blown rebuild this offseason following the Wilson trade, and as a result, more of their veterans could be on the move. While not a lock, don’t be surprised to see these four names become hot on the rumor mill. The Seahawks aren’t likely done making moves yet, so be on the lookout for the next big name to fall.
