NFL QB No 4. Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield

The tumultuous tenure of former Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield may soon be coming to an end, one way or another.

Mayfield’s up-and-down play, paired with the constant criticism he faces from the hometown fans and the fact that his contract is not being renewed signals that this marriage by be coming to an end.

Can the Browns get out ahead of the inevitable and get something instead of nothing before Mayfield walks? The former No. 1 overall pick will be a free agent next offseason.

Mayfield could probably use a change of scenery and the Browns could get a nice haul if they were to trade him now. The front office is saying all the right things publicly, but we saw how that went with Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll’s recent comments before Russell Wilson was traded.

No 3. New York Giants QB Daniel Jones

Could the Daniel Jones experiment be coming to a close in New York? The former sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft has seemingly regressed every season since his superb rookie campaign.

He’s playing fewer games every season and fans are starting to sour on Jones. There are already rumors swirling that the Giants may pursue QB Mitchell Trubisky once free agency begins to push Jones for the starting job.

New head coach Brian Daboll, who coached Trubisky at Buffalo last season as the team’s Offensive Coordinator. Trubisky recently sung Daboll’s praises on a recent episode of Adam Schefter’s podcast, calling the new Giants Head Coach “a great leader of men” among other things.

If the Daboll and Trubisky are reunited, expect Daniel Jones’ hot seat to intensify even further and the possibility of a trade becomes increasingly likely.
