Chicago Bears WR target no. 1: Zach Pascal, Indianapolis Colts

One of the things that Poles and new head coach Matt Eberflus emphasized was how they wanted the Chicago Bears to play tougher. Poles saw the Bears get bullied too much. He stressed that when talking about the offensive line, but that could go with all the other positions as well, including wide receiver.

Zach Pascal has always been an under-the-radar type of player. He went undrafted and worked hard. In four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, he made 150 catches for 1,888 yards and 15 touchdowns. He won’t be a number one receiver in Chicago but he’ll see more opportunities.

Pascal is 6-foot-2 and weighs 215 pounds so he has the size you want. He isn’t a speed burner, but has good hands and will make catches in traffic. Also, he’ll go to the middle and take the hits.

What adds to Pacal’s attractiveness is his blocking. He is strong and willing to block. He’ll put the big hit on anyone to clear the way. This is something that will be very valuable for the Bears’ offense.

Being an undrafted player, Pascal had to work extremely hard to get to where he is. He’ll continue to work hard and could end up being a steal.
