Chicago Bears WR target no. 2: Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals

Another aspect Poles and the Chicago Bears want to improve on is speed. That Bears want to pound you all game long and also kill you deep downfield. After getting hit so much, that speed will come in handy at the end of games. It will also come in handy throughout the game.

Christian Kirk is a player who is ready to prove his worth. He received a modest amount of targets considering the Arizona Cardinals had DeAndre Hopkins, A.J. Green, and Rondale Moore. Arizona looks like they want to give Moore additional looks so Kirk could go elsewhere.

Kirk filled in well when Hoplins got injured. Despite losing three of their last four games to end the regular season, Kirk caught 24 of the 33 targets that went his way. Also, he had 264 yards for an 11 yards per catch average. For the 2021 season, he made 77 catches for 982 yards and 5 touchdowns.

The Bears could use Kirk’s blazing speed. Having him and Mooney stretch the field makes life difficult for the opposing defense. Which receiver do you go after? Justin Fields, despite the struggles of the offense, still ranked third in deep accuracy. Kirk helps develop that trait. Also, with those two going downfield, the space opens up underneath for possession receivers or for the running backs.

Kirk is ready to step out of the shadows of others and create one himself.
