The 2022 NFL free agency period is set to begin shortly. Can we build an elite offensive line with various free agent players?

Today at noon, the NFL legal tampering period will begin, which will allow teams to enter into contract negotiations with free agent players.

Free agency is an amazingly fun time for us content creators and NFL fans alike.  Predicting where certain free agents will sign and their big contracts is always a fun guessing game.

Specifically, the offensive line is already filled with a ton of high and mid-quality free agent players.  In fact, the offensive line free agent pool might be the strongest of all the free agent positions groups.

Teams who need help along the offensive line won’t be short on being able to find talent for their starting 5.

This is a fun article, where I will build the strongest offensive line possible with current NFL free agents.

Offensive line-needy teams would be smart to pay attention to the players I put in this piece.

Left tackle – Terron Armstead

This might be the most obvious piece on the offensive line.  Terron Armstead has been one of the very best at his position for years.  The long-time Saint is set to test free agency, and being that New Orleans is tight against the cap, it’s unlikely Armstead re-signs.

Armstead will have a ton of suitors and should be able to command a contract paying him well over $20 million per season.

Two teams that stick out at first are the Miami Dolphins and the Cincinnati Bengals, who both need help along the line in the worst way.

Armstead is a 3 time Pro Bowler and set to enter his age-31 season, which is by no means old for an offensive lineman.

Armstead has never played in a full 16 or 17 game season, though, which might scare teams a bit.

He’s missed 11 games the past two seasons and has played in 97 games in 9 years, which is barely over 10 games per season.
