The NFL free agent frenzy is just getting started! As the legal tampering period begins, here are some under-the-radar names that could make a big impact once signed.

It feels like Christmas Day! As the 2022 NFL free agency begins, we’re one step closer to kicking things off for the ’22 campaign. There has already been some noteworthy decisions and movement from marquee players, namely Aaron Rodgers Bobby Wagner, Russell Wilson, and Amari Cooper.

Those are names that generally steal the headlines, but what about the ones that aren’t as common to the casual fan? Thinking of those types of guys, here’s a list of names who may end up being impact signings once it’s all said and done.

Underrated NFL Free Agents: WR — Christian Kirk (signed with Jaguars)

As the primary slot receiver for Arizona over the past four seasons, the Texas A&M product had a career year in 2021, totaling career-best numbers in receptions (77), yards (982), passer rating when targeted (112.2), and catch rate (74.8%). Kirk was a slot menace for the Cards, as he took 49% of his snaps from the slot last season.

A player that some may consider quicker than fast, Kirk has proven he can make plays downfield just as much as he can make guys miss on underneath routes.

Looking at his advanced stats, Kirk also had a career-best mark in yards before catch per reception (9.8), as he recorded 754 of his 982 yards at the time of the catch, highlighting what he brings as a downfield receiver.

One of Kyler Murray’s closest companions on the team after playing together a season at A&M, Arizona should be looking to bring Kirk back. Especially with the weird vibes between Kyler and the team this offseason. At just 25, Kirk may have his best days on the field ahead of him.
