Underrated NFL free agent: CB — Carlton Davis (re-signed with Buccaneers)

Davis has been one of the most underrated corners in football, as he’s shown himself to be one of the top man-to-man DBs in the game. The Super Bowl LV champion has shown nothing but steady improvement throughout his four years in Tampa.

In each of the last three seasons, the former Auburn Tiger has held QBs to an average passer rating of 83.6 when targeted. Davis also allowed the lowest yards per target he has in his entire career in 2021 (6.0).

And now that the GOAT has returned, the Buccaneers should be looking to bring as many of their top players back from the 2020 title team. Tampa may not have a ton of money to spend, but it can restructure some deals to make room. But if not, Davis will get the biggest contract on the market for a CB not named Stephon Gilmore or J.C. Jackson.
