Denver Broncos option no. 3: La’El Collins, RT

At the risk of having egg on my face shortly after this is published (La’El Collins is taking a free agent visit to Cincinnati), I would love to see the Denver Broncos fill the one remaining hole on their offensive line with the best right tackle available this offseason.

Collins is undoubtedly the best right tackle to hit the market in the 2022 offseason, and the Denver Broncos should be among the teams interested.

Collins shares an agent (Peter Schaffer) with Denver Broncos free agent pickup Randy Gregory, and it just so happens that Schaffer is also Denver-based.

The Broncos have Garett Bolles at the left tackle position and Bolles has been one of the most improved players on the roster over the last couple of seasons.

The interior line positions may not be solidified but there is plenty of competition.

The right tackle spot needs to be addressed and Collins is a rare long-term solution hitting free agency before the age of 30.

It makes sense that the Bengals reached out to him right away and it won’t be a surprise at all to see him sign there, but the Denver Broncos should be in communication with Schaffer throughout Collins’ visit to gauge what his asking price might be and what the Bengals are offering.
