Green Bay Packers mock draft: Round 1, pick 22

Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia

Jordan Davis is an absolute freak of nature.

Even among the elite athletes that come into the NFL every year, Davis stands out as arguably one of the most impressive athletic specimen you will ever witness.

At the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine, he ran a blazing 4.78 in the 40-yard dash and was outstanding in every other drill as well.

There’s no one you can really point to historically as a comparable for Davis at his size and with that kind of athletic talent. It’s just unbelievable.

The major concern from him coming out of Georgia is the fact that he was really only a part-time player for the Bulldogs defense, but he was obviously very productive in the snaps he was given and there’s more than enough reason to believe he’s going to continue to play a higher number of snaps the more he progresses as a player.

It’s not that effort or fatigue is a question, it’s just the way he was utilized at Georgia.

With that being said, if you can limit his snap count and maximize his efficiency, you may not heed him to play 800 snaps a season to make a first-round type of impact for your defense.

For the Packers here at pick 22, I think he would be an absolute steal.
