Anyone can have a boring, obvious take, but to have a take so outlandish, so spicy, and for it to hit? That’s where the thrill comes. Incoming hot takes.

Hot takes in fantasy football are the best. Anyone can have an easy take such as “Josh Allen will be a top-three QB this season”. Anything can change that, but most likely, that statement will come true.

Having a hot take with some logical reasoning behind it sets up a hot take, but also can set up a take that the community will remember you for. Let’s dive into three extremely hot takes I have for the 2022 season.

Fresh Fantasy Football hot takes in 2022

Can you smell what Kyle Pitts is cooking?

Kyle Pitts has been regarded as the best tight-end prospect in a very long time. The Atlanta Falcons viewed him so highly that he was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Calving Ridley missing most of the season set Kyle Pitts up very nicely. Pitts eclipsed over 1,000 yards in his first season, but only had one receiving touchdown. This is great news even though it might not sound like it.

Although Pitts only scored one touchdown all season long, he still finished as the TE6 and finished just 50 yards shy of tying Mike Ditka for the most receiving yards by a rookie tight end.

For the 2022 season, Calvin Ridley will not be on the field again as he is dealing with a year-long suspension and Russell Gage left to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency.

The receivers on the Falcons as it stands are Olamide Zaccheaus (58), Frank Darby (1), Tajae Sharpe (117), Chad Hansen (26), Christian Blake (28), and Austin Trammell (0).

The numbers next to their names indicate their career reception totals. As seen, the Falcons, if no receivers come in free agency, will be very inexperienced in the catching department.

Enter the undisputed dynasty TE1, Kyle Pitts. The tight-end record for receiving yards is 1,416 set by Travis Kelce in 2020 and the reception record for a tight-end was set by Zach Ertz in 2018 with 116 receptions.

In the 2022 NFL season, Kyle Pitts, a Florida Gator legend will break both of those records. With the way the Falcons’ weapons are looking, give me Kyle Pitts to make history this upcoming season.
