Dallas Cowboys Round 5 Pick: Obinna Eze, OT, TCU

With La’el Collins out, the Cowboys will surely be moving Terence Steele to the starting spot on the right side of the line. There will be calls to go for a tackle earlier especially given Tyron Smith’s knack for missing a lot of games every year.

However, Dallas might have a decent swing tackle in-house already with Josh Ball who was a fourth-round pick a season ago. He spent the season on IR but has a lot of talent — although he does have a questionable past.

All that being said, Dallas should still add competition and in this mock, they get a pretty solid prospect late with Obinna Eze still on the board. The TCU product transferred from TCU and is still learning the game as he didn’t start playing until his senior season in High School. He could end up being a steal this late.

Dallas Cowboys Round 6 Pick: Matt Hankins, CB, Iowa

Speaking of steals late in the draft, Matt Hankins could end up being exactly that. Hankins is wiry at 6-foot-1 and 175-pounds but he has been highly productive for the Hawkeyes. He had 212 tackles and six picks while playing five seasons with Iowa.

He will have a hard time cracking the lineup in Dallas, especially with players such as Nahshon Wright looking to have bigger roles in 2022.

Still, he’s a great developmental player — especially this late in the draft.
