player. CB. Clemson. Andrew Booth, Jr.. 47. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 21

21. New England Patriots: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson

Once again, the New England Patriots allowed their top defensive back to leave in free agency as J.C. Jackson went and signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. The Pats clearly believe in their ability to develop players at the position, and they’ve been right more times than not.

Still, they need to find someone who can start in 2022 — and as long as Mac Jones is the quarterback, chances remain high that this will be a team that tries to win with a controlled offense and strong defense. They continue to work on building that defense up with the selection of Andrew Booth, Jr. from Clemson. He should be able to start from day one and could be the next great New England cornerback.

WR. 49. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Arkansas. Treylon Burks. 22. player

22. Green Bay Packers (via Las Vegas Raiders): Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

In a surprising move, the Green Bay Packers sent Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders and landed a first and second-round pick in return. Now with the first pick they received in that trade, the Packers land a replacement for Adams in Treylon Burks from Arkansas.

Burks is a big-bodied receiver at 6-foot-2 and 225-pounds and despite a less-than-perfect Combine, he’s still a player who should be taken in Round 1. In Green Bay, he will have to take on a huge role right away, unless they still find a way to land someone in free agency that is.
