56. Texas AM. DeMarvin Leal. 31. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE

31. Cincinnati Bengals: DeMarvin Leal, EDGE, Texas A&M

The Cincinnati Bengals were a block away from potentially winning the Super Bowl — and they have already started to work on fixing that line. By making moves in free agency, they’ve freed themselves up to go after the best player available in the draft, which happens to be DeMarvin Leal in this mock.

Leal’s star has lost some shine in part due to his fit in the NFL not being truly identified. He’s a 290-pound defensive end who has also played inside. With Cincy, he could end up doing both as he helps replace Larry Ogunjobi and give them a player who can also play on the edge with a lot of power.

QB. 32. Scouting Report. player. 50. Pick Analysis. Cincinnati. Desmond Ridder

32. Detroit Lions (via Los Angeles Rams): Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati

There have been suggestions that the Detroit Lions want to continue to give Jared Goff an opportunity to run their team. However, they could still look for an upgrade if someone becomes available, and that’s what happens here with Desmond Ridder lasting until the end of Round 1.

Ridder has been a solid prospect for a while and he really threw the ball well and even turned in a strong 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine. He has a lot of tools that teams look for and could be groomed to be the No. 1 guy down the road.
