No. 1 Best option to replace Davante Adams: Michael Thomas, Saints

The off-season was full of game-changing moves. Players who wanted out of situations got their wish, but not Michael Thomas. The idea of the New Orleans saints trading Thomas hasn’t been floated around much this off-season.

However, the Pro Bowl wideout was rumored to have wanted outback in 2021. Given the uncertainty surrounding the Saints quarterback position, it’s not unfathomable to think rumors of Thomas leaving New Orleans would resurface. Should Thomas request a trade, the Green Bay Packers should be part of his shot list.

As for the Packers, they should offer the Saints a pair of picks for Thomas’ services. He’s a volume type of receiver who can come in and catch 100 passes. The last time Thomas played a full season, he lead the league in catches for the second consecutive season.

The two-time All-Pro is one of the few players who could come into Green Bay and replace Davante Adams’ production.

Thomas is a boundary guy who makes plays downfield but does his best work between the hashes. If it takes a pair of first-round picks to her the three-time Pro Bowler, the Packers must pull the trigger.
