The Kansas City Chiefs traded WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for a king’s ransom of 2022 NFL Draft picks. How might they use them?
The Kansas City Chiefs no longer have Tyreek Hill. That’s a pretty good way to sum up the craziness that has been the 2022 NFL offseason in which Russell Wilson, Davante Adams, and now Hill have all been traded to new teams.
Shocking is probably an understatement.
Even though the Chiefs no longer have Tyreek Hill, they now have a bunch of extra draft picks, especially early on in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.

Kansas City Chiefs can put together an impressive 2022 NFL Draft class
After the Tyreek Hill trade, the Kansas City Chiefs are now looking at making six selections in the first three rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft, two picks in each round.
Let’s take a look at how they might use those picks in this three-round Kansas City Chiefs mock draft.
Kansas City Chiefs pick 29: Boye Mafe, EDGE, Minnesota
Although everyone is going to instantly go to the wide receiver position here, keep in mind that the Kansas City Chiefs have other needs on the roster including off the edge and at cornerback, especially after the recent losses of Charvarius Ward and Mike Hughes along with Melvin Ingram still sitting in free agency.
With pick no. 29, just acquired from the Dolphins, I think the Chiefs could take a shot on the ultra-talented Boye Mafe, an athletic pass rusher out of Minnesota.
Boye Mafe is a LB prospect in the 2022 draft class. He scored an unofficial 10 RAS at the Combine out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 2 out of 2188 LB from 1987 to 2022.

It would be 9.91 at DE, where he'll be switched to later.https://t.co/p4J650ySg6 #RAS pic.twitter.com/jxpkRlEDDH
This guy is off the charts athletically and he had 10 tackles for loss along with 7.0 sacks last season for the Gophers’ defense. He would be a great pickup for a Kansas City defense that has struggled to find a long-term answer off the edge in recent years.
