Kansas City Chiefs mock draft, pick 92: Myjai Sanders, EDGE, Cincinnati

I like the Chiefs double-dipping off the edge in this draft with two players that could play with their hands in the dirt or standing up if need be.

Sanders also posted an elite RAS and is explosive off the ball as a pass rusher.

The one alarming number there that is way off is Sanders’ weight at 228 pounds. He was listed at 258 and was apparently very sick at the Scouting Combine, which likely contributed to his low weigh-in.

I expect him to be closer to 250 pounds by his pro day assuming he’s back to full strength, but consider how ridiculous that workout is if Sanders was not feeling well. He might blow up at the Cincinnati pro day.

You can never have too many pass rushers in the NFL and this pick gives the Chiefs two good ones from a deep class.

Chiefs mock draft, pick no. 103: Martin Emerson, CB, Mississippi State

The Chiefs need to continue adding depth at the cornerback position and Martin Emerson is an intriguing potential pickup late on day two.

He’s got size at 6-foot-2, 203 pounds. His 4.48 speed is more than adequate at his size with fluid movement skills to stick with just about anybody.

A 6.89 in the three-cone drill at the Mississippi State pro day indicates that Emerson is also very agile and quick.

To cap off the first three rounds, the Chiefs add depth to a unit that needs it after some of their losses in free agency.
