The Kansas City Chiefs replace Tyreek Hill with Jahan Dotson and the Carolina Panthers take Kenny Pickett in our latest 2022 NFL Mock Draft

Another big move came in what has been the craziest offseason in recent memory. After already seeing Davante Adams, Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson, Amari Cooper, Matt Ryan, and Khalil Mack all get traded the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins decided to get in on the fun.

On Wednesday, Kansas City sent Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for a collection of picks, including No. 29 in this upcoming draft. Now with a need at wideout and back-to-back picks at the end of the round, the Chiefs replace Hill in our latest 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

But first, we start off with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who elect to go for an offensive tackle to protect Trevor Lawrence.

Jags make their selection with Trevor Lawrence in mind to kick off 2022 NFL Mock Draft

Pick Analysis. Scouting Report. OT. NC State. Ikem Ekwonu. 1. player. 52

1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State

It’s hard to tell what the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to do at No. 1 but it seems as though it will either be a defensive end or a left tackle. While there are some legit ends in this class, we go with the tackle here as they simply have to protect Trevor Lawrence.

Ikem Ekwonu has asserted himself as the top offensive lineman in the class and the Jags have spent this offseason going out and putting pieces around Lawrence — although they did overpay for some. Still, their commitment to the quarterback is on display and it continues here.

2. player. 50. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Michigan. Aidan Hutchinson

2. Detroit Lions: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan

With Jacksonville taking Ekwonu, the Detroit Lions are free to bring in Aidan Hutchinson. He feels like the best fit for this team as he gives them a centerpiece for their defensive line and has that ‘blue-collar’ style that Dan Campbell loves.

Hutchinson also doesn’t have to travel too far to get started in his NFL career after starring with the Michigan Wolverines collegiately.
