2022 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs replace Tyreek Hill, Panthers land Pickett

19. Philadelphia Eagles: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
Back on the clock for the third time is the Philadelphia Eagles. They went defense followed by offense earlier as they added Purdue defensive end George Karlaftis at No. 15 and USC wide receiver Drake London at No. 16. Now, they go back to the defensive side of the ball with Devin Llyod from Utah.
Lloyd proved in his final season with the Utes that he can be a three-down player and that’s what pushed him into the Round 1 conversation. Philly ends up bringing him in with their final pick in what proves to be a busy night for them.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
As it stands now, Mitchell Trubisky appears to be the Pittsburgh Steelers starting quarterback. There are those who find it comical, but Trubisky was able to find some success in Chicago and it’s not exactly as if he’s a huge step back from what Ben Roethlisberger was giving them during his final season in the NFL.
Still, he’s not the answer long-term. At best, Trubisky is a veteran stop-gap while the Steelers look for their next franchise player and that could end up being Malik Willis. With some of the quarterback-needy teams passing on the position this draft, Pittsburgh lucks out as the insanely talented Willis slides to them at No. 20.
Willis has some refinements that need to be made but there’s a great coaching staff in place with the Steelers and they can take their time grooming him to be the guy.
