2022 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs replace Tyreek Hill, Panthers land Pickett

21. New England Patriots: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
Last season, the New England Patriots went out and added a lot of weapons to their passing game. Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Agholor, Hunter Henry, and Jonnu Smith were all free-agent additions and the results spoke for themselves as they made it into the postseason. That doesn’t mean they should stop adding talent, however, as they bring in Chris Olave from Ohio State with their first pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Olave is known as a burner who needs to refine some of his route running but he’s still a big play waiting to happen and the Patriots will be able to get the most out of him. There’s still some ground to cover as they try and catch the Buffalo Bills who are suddenly one of the elite teams but adding Olave is a positive step in the right direction.
22. Green Bay Packers (via Las Vegas Raiders): Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas
It would be comical to see the Green Bay Packers trade away Davante Adams only to bring in no receivers in Round 1 despite having two picks in the first. As funny ads it would be, they absolutely have to do something because a receiving corps led by Randall Cobb at this point in his career is not ideal.
SO with that being said, they use the first pick obtained in the Adams trade to bring in Treylon Burks. He’s a different style wideout than Adams but his ability to break tackles and rack up yards after the catch will appeal to this front office.
