2022 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs replace Tyreek Hill, Panthers land Pickett

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went from a team with a huge question mark to an NFC favorite in no time at all. When Tom Brady said he was retiring, there was no clear idea what they would do under center. Whether they went with Kyle Trask or some other veteran option, there would be a huge step backward from TB12.
Then, Brady decided he wanted to come back and all of a sudden, they’re a team to watch again — especially after retaining Chris Godwin at wide receiver and Carlton Davis at cornerback.
Now, they add Devonte Wyatt from Georgia to play on the defensive line next to Vita Vea and they suddenly have a potentially elite defense once again.
28. Green Bay Packers: DeMarvin Leal, EDGE, Texas A&M
After already adding a wide receiver in Round 1, the Green Bay Packers can now go for a defender with their second pick of the night. Here, they bring in DeMarvin Leal who is a 290-pound defensive lineman who would fit well as an end in the Green Bay three-man line.
Leal hasn’t had the greatest offseason and lost some of his shine but he’s still a player with enough talent to go in the first round and the Packers wind up being the ones to give him a shot in this mock.
