Oregon. Kayvon Thibodeaux. player. EDGE. 3. 10. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

3. Houston Texans: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon

It seemed for a while that Kayvon Thibodeaux would easily be the No. 1 pick in this draft but then when the Jaguars ended up with the selection, it became hazy. Add in the fact that Aidan Hutchinson just seems to be a perfect fit in Detroit and Thibodeaux is still there when the Houston Texans are on the clock — and they waste no time turning that card in.

Houston is in a complete rebuild right now and while they’re looking for their next franchise quarterback, they need to use all their draft capital to bring in elite talent. As fate would have it, they end up with arguably the most talented player in this class.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. S. Kyle Hamilton. 4. 30. Notre Dame. player

4. New York Jets: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

Like the Houston Texans, the New York Jets have two picks in the opening round of this draft although they were hoping to have a couple fewer in Round 2. New York apparently tried to trade for Tyreek Hill and while the Chiefs were good with their trade, Hill did not want to join Gang Green.

While it’s true they were looking at adding the explosive wideout, they turn to defense with their first selection here as they bring in Kyle Hamilton from Notre Dame. Hamilton is a player who can move all over the secondary for Robert Saleh and will make everyone out there better.
