2022 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs replace Tyreek Hill, Panthers land Pickett

9. Seattle Seahawks (via Denver Broncos): Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
Are the Seattle Seahawks really going to go into 2022 with Drew Lock as their starter under center? They very well could.
With this class not exactly dripping with elite talent at quarterback, they could decide to see what the strong-armed kid from Missouri could bring to the table. Perhaps a fresh start in a brand new system is all he needs to turn the corner. What could also help him is a bookend at left tackle such as Charles Cross.
Another player who should be able to start from the minute he arrives to practice, Cross could finally bring some stability to a Seattle O-line that has had issues for years.
10. New York Jets (via Seattle Seahawks): Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
It might seem like overkill for the New York Jets to take another defensive back after taking Kyle Hamilton, but it’s really not. This team needs help both at safety, which they landed in Hamilton, and corner, which they get here with Sauce Gardner.
What makes this even more intriguing is that they just landed the top prospect at safety and cornerback, meaning they could be well on their way to building an elite pass defense. And considering some of the weapons in that divisions, that’s not a bad idea at all.
