2022 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs replace Tyreek Hill, Panthers land Pickett

13. Houston Texans (via Cleveland Browns): Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia
One of the biggest trades this offseason involved the Houston Texans, who sent Deshaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns for six draft picks — three of which were in the first round. At No. 13 in this 2022 NFL Draft, they turn in the card for the first of those and again add some beef to their defensive line as they bring in Jordan Davis from Georgia.
Davis is a mountain of a man but he ran an incredibly fast 40-yard dash, hitting 4.78 seconds after weighing in at 341-pounds. There will be those who think this is too high for a nose tackle but the Tampa Bay Bucs have been thrilled with Vita Vea and Davis could be even better.
14. Baltimore Ravens: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa
Last season, the Baltimore Ravens struggled down the stretch. Injuries were a lot of the issue, but just as frustrating for them was the play of the offensive line. With Alejandro Villenueava electing to retire, they turn to a rookie as they select Trevor Penning with their first pick.
Penning was a standout for Northern Iowa but really showed off when he finally got to go up against top-tier talent in the Senior Bowl. He showed there he’s not afraid of the competition and should be able to make the leap.
