2022 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs replace Tyreek Hill, Panthers land Pickett

17. Los Angeles Chargers: Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
The Los Angeles Chargers have had a great offseason but hardly anyone has noticed. They added Khalil Mack to a defensive line that already included Joey Bosa then got the top cornerback in free agency as they signed J.C. Jackson away from the New England Patriots.
On top of that, they re-signed Mike Williams to keep their offense intact as well. Now, they go for another weapon on defense, picking up Nakobe Dean from Georgia. With studs in front of him such as Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, and Travon Walker, Dean was able to make one huge play after another. He should have similar success on a defense with Bosa and Mack eating up blockers.
18. New Orleans Saints: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
One of the other finalists for Deshaun Watson was the New Orleans Saints but unlike the Falcons, they were able to turn to their former starter as the re-signed Jameis Winston to a two-year deal following Watson’s move to Cleveland.
For Winston, it was a wise move as he found success with this team and now has multiple years’ worth of security, which is huge coming off a torn ACL. He also should finally have Michael Thomas which will help him look even better.
As for this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the Saints bring in Jameson Williams who is also coming off a torn ACL but once healthy, could prove to be the best wide receiver in this class. Him and Thomas working together would give Winston an elite pass-catching duo, which is scary considering he was 5-2 last year without either.
