The Buccaneers were ecstatic to hear that their All-Pro quarterback was ready to compete in another season. Will Tom Brady’s desire to win place Tampa Bay in another Super Bowl?

The ultimate competitors are never satisfied with being average. When there is room for improvement, the best find joy in rewriting history. Tom Brady has demonstrated his elite ability to compete since joining the NFL in 2000. It was then when the New England Patriots gave birth to the legend of TB12.

A sixth-round pick was the cost for Brady’s services, making him one of the greatest steals in NFL draft history.

Tom Brady – Building a legacy with the Buccaneers

Seven Super Bowl victories were not the projection for the former Michigan Wolverine. When the Patriots drafted Brady, many thought he would remain as a solid backup option. When the right opportunity presented itself, the Patriots understudy made the most out of it.

An unexpected injury to Drew Bledsoe gave Brady the keys to the Patriots kingdom. His five championships with New England solidified his potion in the conversation of best quarterbacks to play the game.

Brady remained unsatisfied despite his success under Bill Bellechik’s leadership. Instead of hanging up the cleats, the future Hall of Famer decided to relocate to the NFC South. Bruce Arians and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to bring Brady aboard with hopes of adding to both parties’ legacies.

While the Patriots struggled without their leader at the helm, the Buccaneers began to build their dynasty.

New places, same result

Success in Tampa Bay has been the most recent evidence of Tom Brady’s elite competitive ability. According to ESPN, Brady accumulated over 4,500 yards passing and completed forty touchdown passes. His efforts during his first year with the Buccaneers led the franchise to its second Vince Lombardi trophy.

Similar statistics filled Brady’s stat line at the end of the 2021 season. An increase in passing yards and touchdowns showed fans why age is not a factor in his Hall of Fame career. Despite an increase in performance, the Buccaneers couldn’t repeat their title from the previous year. As the team regrouped for their off-season journey, news of Tom Brady’s retirement became the topic of discussion.

Leaving with unfinished business is not a characteristic of an elite competitor, which is why Tom Brady’s unretirement was not much of a surprise. Brady has shown throughout his career that he is one of the best quarterbacks the game football has ever seen.

If TB12 wants to win another championship, Tampa Bay is the right place to be. Weapons like Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Leonard Fournette make the Buccaneers a contender in the NFC south. Brady has also been known to do some recruiting of his own.

If the right players come together in Tampa, Tom Brady could have a chance at another championship ring.
