NFL rumors are swirling that Tom Brady is reportedly interested in being traded to the Miami Dolphins. Here’s why the Dolphins should resist making a deal for one of the greatest to ever do it.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady shocked the sports world when he announced that he would be coming back for another season in the NFL after being officially retired for just a handful of weeks.

But the GOAT is back in the headlines again, this time due to some NFL rumors that state Brady has an interest in being traded 300 or so miles south to the Miami Dolphins.

This rumor seems to have some legs to it because it’s coming from sportscaster Dale Arnold of NESN in the Boston market. Arnold was the one who first reported Brady going to the Buccaneers as a done deal.

Arnold said on WEEI radio that he believes Brady will be playing for the Dolphins this upcoming NFL season.

He then followed up his tweet with another that said, “And notice that @RobGronkowski
hasn’t re-signed with @Buccaneers yet?”

This intel from Arnold has got everyone talking about Brady once again. NFL fans are watching the situation in Tampa to see if Tom Brady will find his way to play for the Dolphins before the start of the 2022 season.

Tom Brady can wish he played for the Dolphins all he wants, but Miami must resist trading for the 44-year-old star.

The Dolphins cannot mortgage their future for one or two seasons of Tom Brady. It’s too great of a cost and too great of a gamble.

Who knows what it would cost to strike a deal to bring the seven-time Super Bowl winner to South Beach, but whatever the cost it would be is too great.

You would effectively be giving up on QB Tua Tagovailoa, you would be giving up a ton of future draft capital and gambling your hopes on a man who entered the league before many of the current Dolphins players could even throw a football.

God forbid, but what if Brady gets hurt and is out for the season for the Dolphins? Would he decide to undergo a long, arduous rehab or use this as a sign that Father Time is telling Brady to hang it up?

We haven’t even gotten to the fact of the damage this would do to the carefully crafted and curated image of Brady.

Coming back out of retirement only to bail on the team that did everything they could to leave the door open for his return would do irreparable harm to his legacy.

Tampa Bay has treated and handled Brady’s decision with utmost respect and patience. If he tries to force his way out, Miami needs to resist the trade opportunity for the sake of the organization, the fans, and the sanity of NFL fans everywhere.
