Denver Broncos mock draft: Loading up after Russell Wilson deal
Denver Broncos mock draft, rounds 5-7
5 (pick 145): Rachaad White, RB, Arizona State
Take two running backs in this class.
The Denver Broncos have Mike Boone and Damarea Crockett. I get that, but this year’s running back class is too talented with too much value on day three to pass up on.
Rachaad White has outstanding overall metrics with size, speed, explosiveness, and pass-catching abilities.
There are so many players that fall in mock draft simulators that you think to yourself, how could this guy ever actually be sitting there? Don’t be surprised to see White go much higher than this, but the Denver Broncos should be a team that has him high on their list.
6 (pick 206): Nick Grant, DB, Virginia
Nick Grant had a top-30 visit with the Denver Broncos so the team obviously has a lot of interest in him.
He’s got intriguing overall size at 6-foot-3 and safety/cornerback hybrid potential. He will contribute right away on special teams and give you a developmental weapon that can be utilized as a blitzer as well as in coverage.
7 (pick 232): Andrew Stueber, OT, Michigan
The Denver Broncos probably won’t want to avoid the offensive tackle crop in this year’s draft altogether. Even after signing Tom Compton, Calvin Anderson, and Billy Turner at the tackle position, the Broncos could stand to add some additional players on the offensive line and Andrew Stueber has some nice potential at the next level as a right tackle or at the guard position.
