Biggest NFL contracts at the offensive tackle position

Total Money: Trent Williams, San Francisco 49ers (six years, $138.06 million)

Average annual value: Trent Williams, San Francisco 49ers ($23.01M per year)

Trent Williams is in good shape financially.

It’s hard to believe there was a time when this guy sat out an entire season before forcing his way out of the Washington franchise.

After spending some time with Kyle Shanahan in the Washington organization, the 49ers pulled off a stellar trade to acquire Williams who has been one of the best tackles in all of football.

His contract is not only the biggest in the NFL right now but he is getting paid more per year on average than any other player at his position, and deservedly so.

Highest guarantee: Ronnie Stanley, Baltimore Ravens ($64.166M)

Although Trent Williams has the biggest contract and highest AAV at the tackle position in the NFL, nobody beats Ronnie Stanley right now in terms of overall guarantees.

Even the Miami Dolphins, who had to pry Terron Armstead out of New Orleans, didn’t give the kind of guaranteed money the Ravens did to Stanley, a former first-round pick out of Notre Dame.

A couple of contracts have come close, but Stanley got this massive guarantee in 2020 and no other tackle has beaten it yet.
