Biggest NFL contracts at the center position

Total Money: Corey Linsley, Los Angeles Chargers (five years, $62.5 million)

In the 2021 offseason, the Los Angeles Chargers desperately needed an upgrade at the center position and they got it by stealing away Corey Linsley from Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

Linsley is just a rock-solid player at a critical position where communication and understanding of what defenses are trying to throw at you are essential skills.

Although Linsley does not lead in AAV or highest guarantee, he’s certainly worthy of having the biggest overall contract at the center position.

Average annual value: Frank Ragnow, Detroit Lions ($13.5M per year)

Highest guarantee: Frank Ragnow, Detroit Lions ($42 million)

The Detroit Lions seem to want Frank Ragnow to be a lifer for their franchise.

The team captain was given a new contract including a whopping $42 million guarantee and $13.5 million per season.

His deal is now the Holy Grail for any player at the center position and the next closest in total guarantees is $30 million (Ryan Kelly, Colts) if you need any further indication of just how much the Detroit Lions value this guy.
