Buffalo Bills worst move in 2022 NFL Free Agency

Not upgrading the secondary…at all

It’s hard to believe after the total debacle in the playoffs that the Bills would maintain the status quo in the secondary, but here we are.

To be fair, the secondary does get a boost from all of the defensive front seven additions the Bills have made, including signing star free agent Von Miller.

It’s impossible not to love the Bills’ defensive front and it’s got to be the deepest unit in all of football with nine legitimately good NFL starters at all four positions for Sean McDermott’s front.

With that being said, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs absolutely carved up this Bills secondary in the playoffs and even though the NFL Draft is on deck, Buffalo couldn’t do anything to upgrade the secondary in free agency?

Nothing at all?

Bueller?

We’ll see what Buffalo does in the NFL Draft, but based on some of the other moves this team made, not adding anyone in the secondary was certainly not an issue of cap space or cash on hand.

This team had both.

Perhaps they will still find a way to upgrade in the later waves of free agency but early on, this looks like their worst move as they hope to win a Super Bowl in 2022.
