New York Jets worst move in 2022 NFL Free Agency

Missing out on all top WR targets

It’s hard to really fault the New York Jets for their 2022 offseason up to this point.

The Jets still have a couple of top-10 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft to utilize and I love the moves they made to go out and get Laken Tomlinson at the guard position as well as two impact tight ends in CJ Uzomah and Tyler Conklin.

I also love the pickups of DJ Reed, Jordan Whitehead, and Solomon Thomas on the defensive side.

For once, the Jets have quietly had a very good offseason on paper. Normally, they are the ones overpaying for free agents.

At this point, it’s a nit-pick but the Jets missed out on Tyreek Hill and they also weren’t able to land any other free agent options at the receiver position, including the one-year flyer types like DJ Chark who would have been a really smart pickup for their offense.

Again, I think the Jets have had a really good offseason as a whole especially as Robert Saleh continues to establish the culture there, but not getting any veteran upgrades at receiver before the 2022 NFL Draft is a bit of a tough pill to swallow.
