Baltimore Ravens worst move in 2022 NFL Free Agency

Letting C Bradley Bozeman walk for less than $3M

The Baltimore Ravens have had plenty of reshuffling going on with their offensive line in recent years.

The right tackle position has certainly been in flux and they made a solid move in the 2022 free agent signing period to go out and get the always durable Morgan Moses for $5M average annual value, one of the best value contracts in all of free agency.

With that being said, why would the Ravens just let center Bradley Bozeman walk for next-to-nothing as far as NFL contracts go?

Bozeman graded out extremely well according to PFF’s grades in 2021 and while those grades are certainly not the end-all, it seems odd that a team with a pretty unstable offensive line as a whole would let go of a guy who played over 1,100 snaps last year and only had one penalty.

As it turned out, Bozeman would become one of the best bargains in free agency (on paper, of course) with his short deal in Carolina to replace Matt Paradis.

Considering the fact that the Ravens had plenty of cap space and Bozeman was clearly a fit in their offense, it makes no sense that they would just let him walk for such a low price in free agency.
