Green Bay Packers land Aaron Rodgers top WR talent in 2022 mock draft
Green Bay Packers mock draft, first-round pick (part two)
1st round, 28th overall: Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State
The Green Bay Packers could go back-to-back wide receivers to surround their back-to-back MVP quarterback with the appropriate level of talent he deserves at the position.
Although we have yet to see anything close to Christian Watson’s full potential, I imagine the combination of him and Treylon Burks absolutely torching defensive backs with Aaron Rodgers throwing them passes.
While these two start off their careers in Green Bay catching passes from Rodgers, they could develop into studs to catch passes from Jordan Love or whoever else might take over for Rodgers at some point down the line.
The fit of Christian Watson and the Packers is one I have loved for quite some time. Maybe it’s the fact that Watson wore green and gold in college, or maybe it’s just the idea of seeing his freakish athleticism and explosiveness on display with Rodgers putting the ball in his vicinity.
Watson’s freakish athletic talent would be such a fun fit in this Packers offense and since the Packers would maybe not have a realistic shot at getting him in round two, they take him here at pick 28.
