Green Bay Packers land Aaron Rodgers top WR talent in 2022 mock draft
Green Bay Packers mock draft: Rounds 3 & 4
3rd round pick: Alex Wright, EDGE, UAB
Sticking with the defensive front for the Green Bay Packers, I like the idea of a high-upside edge player for them to close out day two.
Alex Wright is a 6-foot-7 edge with big-time potential and some really nice productivity this past season at UAB.
The Packers had to release Za’Darius Smith in a move to create salary cap space, but adding someone in the 2022 NFL Draft to be a top backup to Preston Smith and Rashan Gary could pay huge dividends over the course of the season.
4a. Kellen Diesch, OT, Arizona State
Kellen Diesch is a super-athletic offensive tackle prospect who could jump right into the Packers’ rotation as a rookie.
I considered a bit of a reach for him with the Packers’ third-round pick, but he was still there in the fourth round.
The Packers have been able to find plenty of mid-late round gems on the offensive line in recent years and Diesch would be no different.
4b. Romeo Doubs, WR, Nevada
We close out this Packers mock draft just the way we started it — at the wide receiver position.
Although he’s not as highly touted as the other guys, Romeo Doubs has made plenty of big plays over the past handful of seasons at Nevada.
He’s been one of the best and most consistent deep threats in college football and considering the Packers lost one of their best deep threats in Marquez Valdes-Scantling, he could be a nice option to replace that production.
