Seattle Seahawks “dream” mock draft, rounds 5-7

5th round, 152nd pick: Kellen Diesch, OT, Arizona State

I strongly considered taking Diesch for the Seahawks in the fourth round at pick no. 109 overall, so when he was still on the board in round five, it was a no-brainer.

After landing Bernhard Raimann in round two and getting Diesch here in the fifth, the Seahawks would have themselves an intriguing young pair of bookends with starting potential as early as this season.

5th round, 153rd pick: Pierre Strong, RB, South Dakota State

On day three of the NFL Draft, teams should always be prioritizing guys with the highest possible ceiling.

In this year’s draft, I think one of the best day three players anyone can invest in is South Dakota State running back Pierre Strong, an elite athlete and true three-down back with special teams versatility.

The Seahawks love bigger backs, and I think as a one-cut runner, Strong is going to have a big NFL future.

7th round, 229th pick: Ja’Quan McMillan, CB, East Carolina

To round out this “dream” mock draft scenario for the Seattle Seahawks, we have a defensive back out of East Carolina who has been extremely productive. Ja’Quan McMillan has picked off 12 passes over the last three seasons, including five in the 2021 season.

He added to those five interceptions a total of 16 passes broken up and four tackles for loss, showcasing what I believe to be a tremendous upside as a slot corner at the next level.
