Top five NFL teams in NFC heading into 2022

3. Green Bay Packers

What an interesting offseason for the Packers.  Aaron Rodgers returned to the Packers on an extension, but the cost of that seemed to be trading away Davante Adams to the Raiders for a first and second-round pick.

The Packers also brought back Allen Lazard, Robert Tonyan, De’Vondre Campbell, Preston Smith, and Rasul Douglas.  They released Za’Darius Smith and have a giant hole in their receiver room.

With two first-round picks to use, expect them to add some OL and WR talent for Rodgers.

They lost Billy Turner to the Denver Broncos, so they have a need there.

Even in the awful NFC North, the Packers will win a ton of games like they always do.

Aaron Rodgers has won the MVP in back-to-back seasons, so expect the offense to still be very good.

Look for Aaron Rodgers to play another 3 seasons with the Packers and retire.  Since the Matt LaFleur era began, they’ve lost in the NFC Championship game twice and the divisional round once.

If they can’t get over the hump during Rodgers’ last few seasons, his legacy will be greatly tarnished.
