Texas AM. 48. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DT. DeMarvin Leal. 27

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DeMarvin Leal, DT, Texas A&M

DeMarvin Leal hurt his draft stock with his performance in the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine but there’s still a lot of tape out there that shows he can be an effective player. The real issue for him is that he wasn’t very explosive in his workouts, including running a five-second 40-yard dash.

What this means is he will likely be a defensive tackle or possibly a 3-4 defensive end, rather than an edge player. That’s fine, especially if he lands with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who can use him as a replacement for Ndamukong Suh.

Leal might never be a 10-sack guy, but he can be a factor, especially on a team that’s as smart on defense as the Bucs have been under Todd Bowles.

Scouting Report. Michigan. David Ojabo. 49. Pick Analysis. EDGE. 28. player

28. Green Bay Packers: David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan

After taking wideout with their first pick, the Green Bay Packers are back on the clock and take David Ojabo from Michigan at No. 28. There was a time when Ojabo looked to be a borderline top-10 pick but a torn Achilles suffered at his pro day hurt his stock.

Green Bay, however, takes a flier here as they get a potentially elite pass rusher late in Round 1. They will likely have to wait for him to get healthy but this is a team that’s usually planning for late January play, and they will be happy to have such a player at full health come this time next season.
