Jalen Reagor potential trade no. 3: Jacksonville Jaguars

Philadelphia Eagles receive:

  • WR Laviska Shenault

Jacksonville Jaguars receive:

  • WR Jalen Reagor

This could potentially be a very fun move.

The Philadelphia Eagles may not be motivated to trade Reagor as much as it’s perceived just looking from the outside in, but with Doug Pederson taking over as the Jaguars’ head coach, it could make sense for him to see the investment in Jalen Reagor through.

There have been rumors of the Jacksonville Jaguars being interested in trading Laviska Shenault, which makes absolutely no sense, but then again the Jaguars do a lot of things that make no sense.

Shenault has the potential to play a Deebo Samuel-like role and excel in it, but the Jaguars have been unable to maximize his potential. They also went out this offseason and spent a bunch of money on Christian Kirk and Zay Jones.

I seriously doubt the arrival of Kirk or Jones would prevent the Jaguars from having an interest in Jalen Reagor, who would not only add depth to their wide receiver group but would also give them a legitimate vertical threat to add to the mix after the departure of DJ Chark in free agency.

From the Eagles’ perspective, this would simply be replacing one 2020 NFL Draft receiver with another. The only downside is, Shenault doesn’t have the fifth-year option like Reagor does.

At any rate, this could be a very worthwhile risk for Philadelphia as Shenault has proven himself a bit more than Reagor at this point and he has the potential to be an impact player at a variety of positions.

This could be a fun change of scenery for both players.
