The Carolina Panthers need some additional NFL Draft capital and they might be able to get it in a Christian McCaffrey trade. What deals should they accept?

The Carolina Panthers have already converted some of Christian McCaffrey’s 2022 salary into a signing bonus, but that doesn’t mean they would turn down an offer they can’t refuse if a team comes calling before or during the 2022 NFL Draft.

Because of trades they made during the 2021 season and in the 2021 offseason, the Carolina Panthers’ 2022 NFL Draft capital is absolutely depleted. Thankfully for them, they still have a first-round pick. Beyond that, however, it’s going to be a slim class.

Panthers draft capital could be replenished in Christian McCaffrey deal

After they pick 6th overall in the first round, the Panthers won’t have a selection until the middle of the fourth round. In a draft class like this, you want to have some picks in rounds 2-3. The Panthers have none between 6 and 137.

Yikes.

A Christian McCaffrey trade could perhaps help them recoup some selections and this is a roster that desperately needs it.

What kind of trade proposals would be too good for the Panthers to turn down for their star running back?

Let’s take a look at three deals that would be too good for general manager Scott Fitterer and head coach Matt Rhule to pass on.
