Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals continue to struggle to find common ground in their contract negotiation and a trade might be the best for both parties

For a moment, it looked as though the drama between the Arizona Cardinals and starting quarterback Kyler Murray was behind them. However, it’s recently become apparent that the No. 1 pick from the 2019 NFL Draft is still unhappy, and reports now suggest he will not play without a new contract.

It’s a bold stance for Murray who has shown flashes of brilliance but has yet to prove he belongs among the best names in the game. Still, players have more power than ever in 2022 — especially quarterbacks — and someone is going to pay him, even if it’s not Arizona.

Here, we look at four teams that could be interested in his services and what offers they could make that Arizona shouldn’t refuse.

After sending Matt Ryan to the Indianapolis Colts, the Atlanta Falcons are set to start Marcus Mariota. That’s not a great plan for success right now, especially when you see how bare the cupboard is on offense around him — outside of Kyle Pitts.

Of course, Atlanta wasn’t 100 percent on board with Mariota, but instead, he was a fall-back plan. After they struck out on the Deshaun Watson deal, they went with a plan B that no one saw coming.

Perhaps now, they can give their fans something to be excited about if they could land Kyler Murray while giving up the No. 8 pick this season, their No. 1 pick next season, and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett who could really bolster the interior of the line for the Cards.
