After a couple of very good seasons, the Bills look to add on to their roster to help continue their winning ways

Before 2018, success for the Buffalo Bills was not common. The last time the Bills had sustained success was in the 1990s when they made four Super Bowls in a row and made the playoffs eight years in total throughout the decade.

From the year 2000 up until 2018, the Bills had made the playoffs just once in 2017 when they lost to the Jaguars in an AFC wild-card game. While the Bills had been starved of almost any success, things have changed for the good.

The 2018 draft was touted as a very good draft when it came to QB talent. The draft had 5 QB’s go in the first round, namely Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Lamar Jackson, and of course, Josh Allen. Allen was the 3rd QB taken in the draft as the Bills selected him with the 7th pick in the draft.

While Bills fans wanted Josh Allen to be this great QB right away, things didn’t turn out that way. Allen struggled in his first two years in the league as some of his draft concerns about his accuracy showed themselves.

Thankfully for Bills fans, those two years of poor play ended. In Allen’s 3rd season, he crushed it and had the best definition of a breakout season as he was an MVP contender. Last season Allen continued his dominance once again.

Allen’s success at the QB position helped out the Bills greatly as the Bills made it to the AFC conference championship game in 2020 and made the AFC divisional game in 2021. Both times that the Bills were eliminated, they were eliminated by the Chiefs in some very entertaining games.

While Allen and other players on the team are due a lot of credit, so are the coaches. Sean McDermott has proved to be one of the best coaches in the NFL, meanwhile former offensive coordinator Brian Daboll was a massive part of the offensive success in Buffalo.

While the Bills have a great team, they could still look to add some pieces. Star cornerback Tre’Davious White went down with an ACL injury last season, while Levi Wallace has now joined the Pittsburgh Steelers, all that to say, the Bills could use some help at cornerback. The Bills have also been damaged on the ground multiple times.

For this mock draft, I will be using the NFL Mock Draft Databases Draft Simulator to assist me with the unpredictability of the NFL Draft. I will also be drafting how I think the Bills should draft, not who I think they will draft.
